Los Álamos, Málaga: a lighting story that endures over time

MÁLAGA —17/11/2023— Los Álamos residential area, in Torremolinos, Málaga, installed ATP lighting sets (hexagonal luminaires and columns) during its construction in the 1980s. The lighting has been operating flawlessly since then, on the beachfront without the need for maintenance. Today, almost 40 years later, residents have once again trusted ATP Lighting to transition to LED and benefit from the high energy savings offered by this technology.

ATP aimed to replace the sets with their current equivalents featuring the most advanced 2200 K LED technology, including Comfort Diffuser® to mitigate glare and Laminar Heatsink® for optimal thermal management. The lighting renovation has allowed residents to maintain the same classic maritime aesthetics in the development while achieving significant energy savings. Additionally, ATP carried out a custom lighting project was carried out to ensure maximum uniformity with the existing arrangement.

The community president spoke highly of the project: "We've had the streetlights since the development was founded, and they have never given us any problems. Now that we wanted to install LEDs to save on the electricity bill, we didn't hesitate to do it with the same company, knowing that we can be worry-free for a lifetime without having to concern ourselves with maintenance. This, for a community next to the sea, is a huge advantage."
